What is “The Beast Must Die” About?
Frances Cairnes is struggling to find peace in the aftermath of her son’s tragic hit-and-run death. After a brief investigation, police conclude that George Rattery was not responsible for Martie’s accident and drop their efforts to make him pay. Frances decides she must take matters into her own hands—even if it means pretending as someone else entirely! While Detective Nigel Strangeways thinks this new development may be beneficial for his case against George, he finds himself conflicted when he learns about Jumbo’s plan: how can they prove so many years later that Rattery killed Martie?

Strangeways is played by Billy Howle while Jared Harris (Mad Men, Chernobyl) is George Rattery and Cush Jumbo OBE as grieving mother Frances Cairnes.

The show originally aired in the UK AMC announced that “The Beast Must Die” premieres on July 5 — but only for subscribers of AMC+. Starting Monday, July 12 at 10 p.m., the six-episode series will be available exclusively to people with a subscription to AMC+, and Episode 1 is now streaming starting today!
