The reboot of “Gossip Girl” premieres Thursday July 8 on HBO Max. Here’s everything you need to know about the show so far:
What is “Gossip Girl” About?
The Gossip Girl story is back! This time with a more modern, edgy twist.
A spin-off of the hit 2000s show will launch on HBO Max with 10 hour-long episodes, showing a new generation of rich and famous prep school teens in New York City’s age of social media celebrities and influencers.
In the intervening years since their original series finale in 2012, social media has become an integral part of our society and culture that wasn’t around when they were first introduced to it eight years ago. The new generation will address just how much these changes have impacted them personally as well as others who share their same experiences growing up in New York City’s most prestigious schools after being exposed to this world through the show for so many seasons before its end.
