What is “Top Chef: Amateurs” About?
A spinoff of the highly successful “Top Chef” reality series, “Top Chef Amateurs” features amateur cooks from all walks of life who will put their culinary skills to the ultimate test. With each competing chef assisted by some of Bravo’s most talented chefs and culinarians who are also rotating judges this season, don’t miss out on what is certain to be one hectic cooking competition!
“Amateurs” challenges amateur chefs to test their skills in the illustrious ‘Top Chef’ kitchen. In each 30-minute episode, two amateurs will go head-to-head in some of the most iconic challenges from Top Chefs archives including a taste challenge and they’ll try to break through on this season’s dreaded dish – risotto.
Who Stars in “Top Chef: Amateurs” on Bravo?
Contestants: Putting their kitchen skills to the test are a wide variety of amateur chefs ranging from an ex-CIA agent, chef turned food blogger and architect. These amateurs will be challenged by different ‘Top Chef’ finalists who also happen to be famous for cooking alongside them while they battle against the clock in this wild competition.
Host: Top Chef veteran judge Gayle Simmons will serve as the main host. A number of Top Chef all-stars will serve as guest judges, including Eric Adjepong, Richard Blais, Jennifer Carroll, Shirley Chung, Stephanie Cmar, Tiffany Derry, Joe Flamm, Richard Blais, Gregory Gourdet, Kwame Onquachi and Dane Talde.

Will There Be a “Top Chef: Amateurs” Season 2?
There is no word yet from Bravo on whether there will be a “Top Chef: Amateurs” Season 2, but most of the reality show’s spin-offs in the past have been popular enough to warrant multiple seasons.
