What is ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 2 About?
The feel-good sports comedy from Apple TV+, “Ted Lasso” will see the second season Jason Sudeikis playing the title role of a misplaced college football coach whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is looped in to coach “football” (soccer) for a fictitious bottom-table Premier League club called AFC Richmond in England.
In Season 1, Lasso does not know what he’s getting himself into, but his determination and willingness to learn helps him rise above the challenges of this new position, however, it didn’t help his club avoid relegation to the Championship (second) level.
Season 2 will expound on the trials and tribulations of navigating the second division while Lasso also settles into life in England and all the on-field and off-field peculiarities that come with it.
Who Stars in ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 2 on Apple TV+?
Sudeikis, the Saturday Night Live alum and star of several hit movies, won numerous writing and acting awards for Season 1 of “Lasso”.
Hannah Waddingham, who played Septa Unella in “Game of Thrones” and has a long history of celebrated roles in theatre and musical theatre, reprises her role as Rebecca Welton, the owner of AFC Richmond.
Brendan Hunt returns as Coach Beard, Lasso’s American football lieutenant. Juno Temple plays Keeley Jones, Brett Goldstein is Roy Kent and Nick Mohammed portrays Nathan.
